It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of a beloved member of the LACBA family, Samuel L. Lipsman, Director of Publications and publisher and editor of
Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine.

He was a dedicated and well-respected colleague whose knowledge and passion for the law was evident to each of us and those he worked with throughout the Los Angeles legal community. He will truly be missed.

LACBA has chosen Gerald Chaleff, Special Assistant for Constitutional Policing of the Los Angeles Police Department, as the recipient of its
highest honor:
The Shattuck-Price Outstanding Lawyer Award.
The award will be presented to Mr. Chaleff during LACBA's Installation Dinner on June 27 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Lawyer will publish its annual CORPORATE COUNSEL'S GUIDE TO CALIFORNIA LAW FIRMS & ATTORNEYS in its September 2013 issue as a special pullout section. The Guide will provide attorneys with a unique business development opportunity to reach in-house counsel.
